Community Development

A beautiful building or space alone is not a community. It is only when people feel a part of something bigger than themselves. When people can connect with others and share their thoughts, ideas, skills or resources. When they can know their neighbour or influence their surroundings. It is only then, that people feel like they belong to a community. At Kore Communities, we understand that it is the connection between people and place that really brings a city to life. Because it is that social connectedness that makes communities more dynamic and more resilient.

At Kore Tech Park, our community initiatives are poised to take shape and will be carried out with the very people who work in or visit our IT Park. The grassroots community engagement initiatives on offer are part of the very reason people would choose to live, work or shop at Kore Communities projects rather than anywhere else.

Kore Communities initiatives would include community classes, sports, lifestyle and charitable events that aim towards connecting our communities.

Our consulting Edible Gardens gardener would teach people about urban agriculture by helping them transform their very own balcony gardens into herb and vegetable gardens.
Hosted by eminent authors, our book club would encourage people to enjoy the reading process. For some it may be about broadening reading horizons, for others it encourages our participants to just read and for yet others it’s a perfect way of meeting new and like minded people.
Our consulting artist would take our community on a creative journey. Anything from still life drawing, charcoal sketches to acrylic painting and portraits, theses art classes inspire inspiration.
Our weekly group training sessions would encourage our community to exercise and promote health and well-being within the precinct.
Kore Communities would be organising an annual marathon wherein we collect funds for a good cause.

These community initiatives are not static. As the community expands and more and more people occupy the Kore Communities projects, other opportunities will emerge. Current workshops under consideration are wine appreciation classes, meditation classes and more to be held at various Kore project locations. Regardless of what new initiatives we add to our community, the underlining premise is about connecting people with others.
